I don’t know honestly, but I don’t think he is pretending I think he’s a zombie? Like a special one who is capable to act like a regular human and the moment he had a taste he felt like going further yet felt disgusted cause he doesn’t wanna be like them zombies. I’m not sure but that’s my theory of the situation
