some times things hurt before they get better. usually if its the first time or it has not happened in a long time. if you're into the pain, it can feel good. kinda like slapping and stuff. i know a handful of people who like the 'stinging' stretch like what is happening in the chap.
i think it's more or less about your psyche and comfort. it can hurt but you gotta relax and let yourself also feel pleasure, focus on the pleasure, not pain. if you do the latter then well, it's gonna be a nightmare
