Mah boy pencil thinks he values too much. All the things kid did is from his effort, it's from within him that's why he's great at drawing, he writes so good and probably have a high grade/score.
And the pencil thinks it's from his skills that's the human become "good" at the things that involves using the pencil.
The author just probably want to say that either whatever the tools you use (like buying a branded/pricey art supply), you will be good not because of those supply but because you practice and put an effort into it and that at the end of the day those tools, e.g pencil are replaceable.

In the pencil pov, that no matter how much you think you're helping someone, if they're done of you, you're no longer needed and you're no longer the way they wanted you-functioning properly (human thinks pencil broken) then you're just another trash to the bin. You'll get thrown out, even with so many time you're spending with the person and how much you help him. You'll get thrown out in the dump. So yeah, you're just a fcking trash. Don't fcking forget that....
