I hate how the story is just ignoring the rpe element for reasons he should reject the prince. Like it happens but isn’t used as a reason why MC shouldn’t believe the prince’s feelings for him, like how he’s been treated should be a huge reason. But it’s like the rpe happens, characters move on and ignore how serious it is.
But then I was let down by this being an older MC but them just having the most stereotypical uke personality and level of maturity. Boring characterizations. Like in all those years he made 0 contingency plans or political connections? Waste of setting. This could take place in the modern world with a wealthy young master and NOTHING would change.
