uhhhhhhh not sure if I'm gonna stick with this one tbh me, personally, the reason I enjoyed Pearl Boy was the genuine love and relatively healthy relationship Dooshik and Jooha (at least up until the side chapters wtf were those) had **despite** all of the literal hell they were put through the hell wasn't the point for me; it was the sanctuary, the oasis in a punishing desert this is shaping up to be just hell. rape to love ig which, okay. it's a thing in fiction, fucked up relationships all over the place, sure. two fucked up people finding some kind of accord or whatever. and it can be done well. maybe this will turn out to be one of those stories, too early to really tell, but rn I'm not feeling it much. disappointing tho bc the art is so damn pretty
