    This might be a bit long because I tend to go into a lot of detail, I hope you don't mind. ;;

    I think it's mainly the dynamic between the two protagonists that are interesting and a breath of fresh air for people. The FL ACTUALLY has characterisation and good chemistry with the ML in a platonic way, if that makes sense. Most romances tend to skip over this initial platonic bonding and the characters getting to know each other and just jump straight into romance, which tends to lead to almost no characterisation for us, the audience. The characters often become extensions of each other and actually have no further characterisation outside the main character

    I find that a lot of MLs in Rofan and a lot of FLs in Action have bare bones characterisation. Like pick either an ML from a Rofan or FL from an Action and try to actually tell me about their character without referring to the protagonist at all, and you'll notice that a lot of the time, they rarely have stand-alone goals, interests, or hobbies. You'll maybe be able to describe a sentence for their background, and then add on one or two adjectives.

    Here, you can very clearly describe the main characters without each other, and I haven't even read the series in a year and I can still remember their core characteristics, which shows how strong the characterisation is, and how well the author actually conveyed that information:

    The ML has a very weak body, but is very smart and calculated. He's cunning and confident, and prefers to study and gain knowledge, and utilise that knowledge to get what he wants quickly and efficiently. He's not a huge risk-taker, he hates guessing, and won't do, or push someone else to do something that he's unsure about. He likes to be almost absolutely certain of an outcome before doing something. However, that in itself is a weakness he acknowledges, because when things don't go to plan, he's prone to shutting down and panicking.

    The FL is very physically strong and quite tomboyish. She's very loud and confident in her abilities, and has an optimistic outlook where she's not scared of failure. She's quite snarky and blunt with her words, very honest, and doesn't think things completely through, but despite this, she listens to others and doesn't shut them down. She has good instincts when it comes to fighting. She has no problem brute forcing her way through situations either, but her unpreparedness tends to leave her vulnerable sometimes. She cares very deeply for the people around her, regardless of status.

    Both characters were avid gamers, and like challenge. They were also very good at MMORPGs and very dedicated and passionate about them. They were transported into the game they played, and their goal is to survive and go back, whilst saving who they can.

    In a lot of manhwas, RARELY are you able to describe that much about a character.

    Chemistry is the best I've ever seen because they feel equal too. I'm trying to describe exactly why, but it's hard. Think how a lot of other romances have contract marriages, and with action, one character is the leader, which leads to an inherent power dynamic between leads. They also don't pull the "you're MY woman" stuff. They trust each other to handle themselves, but they're also willing to help each other out. Not in a "I'll handle it for you" way where one of them is being coddled, but in a way where they work it out together, and learn from their mistakes.

    Overall, it's just a breath of fresh air and something different, and if that isn't appealing to you, that's fine. I think this is a really good manhwa, but just because something is different, doesn't mean it's inherently a masterpiece. It's just more memorable. For example, a lot of people have been hyping up "The Fox-Eyed Villain of the Demon Academy" even though the story is really basic imo. But the reason is simple: the manhwa tried something new for their main character and it made him memorable.

    I appreciate your reply. Thank you for the details that you shared and wow, you read it like a year ago and still remember the character of the ml and fl? Commendable . Thank you so much for explaining it. I stopped reading it because i was waiting for a reply. Thank you for answering my question. I think I'll give it a try again because I trust what you've said. Thank you again!
