exactly!! it’s so well written because you can tell Ian doesn't want to hurt her and actually cares for her, so he doesn't really see that she's not feeling guilty or ashamed about her own words, but rather that she feels upset that Yugun tried to call her out. she's definitely still latching on to a version of Ian that would never disobey her rather than own up to her actions and so she blames Yugun rather than herself. When he goes to college she's gonna get the shock of a lifetime
