There is probably more focus on the plot than the romance

Plot focused gay romance stories exist (I love them) there are slow burn straight romance too. Honestly it’s a shame more of these don’t exist in this medium (mangas). The only slow burn gay romances I’ve read are books/novels

- out of all the ones I recommended, this one’s the most similar to “Choose Your Heroes Carefully” in that it’s very slow burn.

If you want novel recommendation, “Mo Dao Zu Shi” is great bl novel to start off with. There’s also a drama adaptation called “The Untamed”. There’s an anime too! I recommend reading the novel first tho.

Me too she’s so insane like I already thought Mo Dao Zu Shi was so damn good then I read Heaven Officials Blessing, found out that she wrote both of them and that shit blew me away.

I haven’t read mdzs yet, but I have read tgcf and svsss, I rlly recommend svsss if you haven’t read it ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡

I’ve read svsss, I read it along time ago so I don’t remember much of it. Might reread tho since I’ve forgotten a lot of it

Omg! Highly recommend mdzs!! It’s so good. I watched the drama first and then read the novel cause the drama (The Untamed) hooked me in I gotta warn you tho. If you wanna watch the drama, since it’s a Chinese drama. There’s no physical romance (like kissing or sex) like in the novel. But the 2 actors did a great job conveying romantic chemistry.

I have watched part of the donghua but didn’t get fully into it, I will definitely try reading it
