Nope. Jinwoo mentioned his mom dying but didn't say anything about his father. All he said was him and his father wasn't there when his mother died.
There was also a part in the beginning of the story where Guwon saw a family picture, where Jinwoo and his mothers face were visible but his father wasnt, indicating that he is a key character that the author doesnt want to reveal yet.

Yep, that too. Like I said, I'm just overanalyzing things because of the title. And I don't think there's zombies because Sisyphus cheated death. The zombies reference is probably because Sisyphus in the myth actually caused a zombie apocalypse when he tied up Thanatos. Without Thanatos, people couldn't die, so there were just walking corpses everywhere.

Honestly it's the "hounds" part that got me intrigued, cause the title isn't "sisyphus," it's "the HOUNDS of sisyphus." So that means that sisyphus, or his story, isn't the central focus. We this see in the background, with the references and the zombies and everything. The characters aren't really meant to symbolize sisyphus but his hounds instead. So the question now is, what did the hounds do? (Also, i'm tweaking over the fact that it's houndSSSSSS, plural Σ(っ°Д °;)っ)

Ooooh hounds, yes we should focus on that. Actually, if I remember correctly, the people who owned the vacations were rich people who was part of a hunting club. And hunters often use hounds to help sniff out prey when theyre hunting. I remember the doctor saying that some of the original owner because they needed them and Jinwoo was a bit confused when he said that. Hunters controls the hounds, and since the residence seems a bit scared and wary of Guwon, they probably need the original owners to control him in case he went berserk.
If the original owners are Sisyphus then they probably wanted to cheat death so they conducted or sponsored an experiment to achieve immortality because rich people do what rich people do. Guwon was probably one of the people they experimented on.
Honestly this story be just smut disguised as plot but am really enjoying over analyzing everything
I feel like in this story, Guwon is both Zeus and Sisyphus. Because in the myth of Sisyphus, Zeus kidnapped Aegina and brought her to the island, which was then named after her. Guwon basically kidnapped Jinwoo and named the town stillwater just because Jinwoo suggested it. Aegina was also the Goddess of spring, which is a stillwater. In this sense, he is Zeus. But he is also Sisyphus because he mentioned thinking that mountain is a boulder that will eventually roll over and destroy the town so he has to keep an eye on it. Sisyphus was punished to push a boulder up the mountain for all eternity. In that sense, he is Sisyphus.
The problem with Guwon being Sisyphus is, Sisyphus is working with Aegina's father. Which means Guwon is working with Jinwoo's father, who seems to be the main cause of Jinwoo's PTSD. Which is probably why Jinwoo said in the beginning that Guwon's name means salvation but later he will find out that it was just his name. He's going to give Jinwoo back to his father.
But since Guwon is meant to be Zeus in this story, then he will also be the one that defeats Jinwoo's father. So he will betray him then save him again?
