I suspect our ml has super powers : A) a status screen related Insta-store, that lets him purchase items that appear instantly from nowhere (like a bunny suit and helium balloon combo), why not purchase a grappling hook? B) teleportation (cause that man’s speed at acquiring those goods makes me suspect he can tesseract). Why not teleport to safety? C) the power to invoke plot armor.
