A took a couple of chapters for him to figure it out I think. First he figured about adante was an S class esper. Than he was told about the rest. I think because they had to reveal they were looking for an ss-class dungeon. The one that was said to kill half (or was it all) The S class espers that attended.
It happened early on I think because uke was around when a dungeon appeared I think?
