And then motherfuckin' Blondie steps into the role of that persona to (try to) get what he wants, which is Nanjo, becoming precisely the kind of monster Nanjo projected on him in the process.

Wow, bro... I can't wrap my head around the psychological patterns. No, everything is clear with the top, more or less. And with the bottom, too, I guess... but... if all this followed logic, then the next step would be for Nanjo to get scared and decide that he is no longer a knight in shining armor? Or, I don't know, use his BRAIN and understand that he didn't need to save anyone in the first place. Or break down completely and admit that he likes it when he gets his ass dabconed.
