I mean tbf she never made any friends her entire life outside of Patrick because she has an eccentric personality that people find off putting and makes her hard to like. She even acknowledges this multiple times. The comments are meant with love and are lighthearted, and they DO know her well enough to know she’s a wonderful person who is very much misinterpreted because of how eccentric she is. More than anything they’re jokes in a comedy manga we’re not meant to take too seriously. I can see how it might be off putting to some readers, though. I love all her relationships and the fun dynamics and comments, personally.
Rereading, I’m not even noticing them ever call her unlikable or anything. Just point out traits which she does in fact possess

The more years go by, the more triggered I am by how her only friends treat her like a weirdo that's hard to like. How do they have the audacity are they going to say no one understands her, only to proceed to speak on her as they do??? Is it so weird that she has intelligence, faithful to her duties, a sense of humor, and a personality?? Urgh I'm so upset ya'll
