100% agree. I am so confused why the emperor left Rezef alive for so long. For what purpose? Also he was planning to kill Cayenna too? So no heir?? So confused by his motivation. I couldn't finish the novel as it was dropped by translators but I don't remember the emperor being like that. And the thing about Rezef being obsessed with Cayenna, I mean he killed her the first time around so what changed??? Everything feels so half assed
I agree whole heartledly and I remember not finishing the novel bc I wasn’t satisfied with the ending. I remember reading her receiving her magical powers and few chapters after. Also in my memory the emperor never planned on killing Cayena? And if he hated regef so badly WHY would he let him become emperor it was totally half assed
Wow this entire story was such a mess from A to Z. The novel was better even though the art is pretty I feel like the pacing was simply awful.
A. Regef is not a 'complex' character he is badly written that’s on the author. He makes no sense and isn’t someone you want to understand he is just a bug you want to squish.
B. Raffaello isn’t an interesting ml he is the blandest sauce the driest water the borest of the bore who has no personality. He loved her the moment he saw her and built NO connection with her before loving her and had no chemistry at all with anyone ever- ill end it at this because I dont like him
C. Cayena was supposed to KNOW regef wasn’t her father’s child but Raffaello's and we didn’t see his father once what the fuck. You’re telling me he didn’t even try to see that lunatic with whom he impregnated the empress he oh so loved. Also Raffaello being Regef's brother idk man (+ hadn't the dad killed himself when the empress died?)
D. In the novel i dont know what happened to Regef i just remember it wasn’t bad enough but Cayena was empress for 7 years and then married the duke and had 2 kids
E. Vael what the fuck happened to him
F. THE ARCHDUKE IS SUPPOSEDLY THIS INCREDIBLY EVIL VILLAIN AND HE JUST DISAPPEARED FROM THE STORY and then is so stupidly found guilty in the trial or smth lets be serious but since the artist dropped this i understand that she didn’t care anm
Overall the novel was well written even if the story from a 3rd pov wasn’t even good or deep it was just well written and the manhwa got pretty art but the art didn’t suit the story in my opinion and idk who was in charge of the pacing (not talking about the ten last rush of a chapters but the whole thing) but they dont know what they were doing. Regef and Cayena's relationship wasn’t 'deep' or 'complex' it just didn’t make SENSE let's be bffr here dude POISONED???? you and spouts nonsense about fucking loving you, later strangles you but kills for you he murders the only adult who ever loved you and was your mum but then says 'i will protect you.'
Im Regef's biggest hater and the emperor should have killed him at birth if he hated the boy not let him live under his roof that’s stupid too, another no sense made by the author
