I don't know if this is right. But I think adopting the seme is like marriage. Because same sex marriage is not legal in korea???? HAHAHAHA i dunno just speculation.
You're right. Countries where gay marriage is illegal the only way for gay couples to have the same benefits as a married couple is through adoption. So if something were to happen to the uke, the seme will be allowed to visit him in the hospital, etc.
