theres many psychological thriller other than this pedo shit, but you still chose to read this either away. i think that already says a lot,,, just cuz ur reading this for the "story" doesn't remove the fact that this is yaoi, where ur seeing a boy who looks like nothing like an adult in nsfw. man if you dont think that white haired boy looks nothing like a child, then something is wrong with y'all........

Hmm, so a canonical adult in a sexual situation with another canonical adult few years older is pedo because you think the character drawing looks like a child but why don't I see this same kind of consensus calling out actual pedophilia and grooming in the hundreds of highly rated stories in the genre which have premises involving 15-30 year age gaps, settings like older character new the younger since the younger was a child while the older one was a peer of a much older sibling or a parent. A lot of them give them a backstory involving the older character being some kind of a guardian or mentor to the younger, often outright raising them. Do your morals stay into hibernation as long as the character design looks hot to you?
By the way, the MC doesn't look like a child. You talk like this is the first East Asian "comic" you've ever picked up. That style of character design for the submissive romantic lead was the standard for older bls. The design wasn't supposed to make them look like a child, it was supposed to make them look like a "pure" girl. It basically is used to create as much contrast as possible between the so-called "masculinity" of the guy in the dominant role and the so-called "femininity" of the guy in the submissive role. It shouldn't surprise you. BL is just gender bender("disguise as the opposite gender to get close to them and hook one of them trope") with a couple more steps. It is fundamentally just your normal hetero romance with a gay wallpaper which get tweaked a little from era to era to suit the "I think I can impress people with much more moral and progressive I am than the next person if I check these specific boxes" desires of each new generation of hetero women so they can still satisfy their gay fetish while being able to self insert themselves the way they would be able to in a straight romance but they can also feel better about it by convincing themselves that this is not just porn but high-brow, serious content. There's historical cultural reasons as well for mlm sexual interaction being depicted as hetero coded as they are but it being part of the shoujo universe and being exposed to similar kind of selective pressures is the probably the biggest contributing factor.
P.S. None of this is supposed to be a critique on the story itself. Whether you like it or not, either way is fine as long you are smart enough to understand that the MC is being tortured by a sex offender and know better than to feel for the criminal scum. I am indifferent to the story, overall. I am not going to comment on how appealing it will be to others because it's a psychological story and how impactful a psychological story feels to you depends a lot on your identity, your experiences and your outlook. All I can tell as an uninvested reader is that it's not very interesting. It's very character centric, very much reliant on getting the audience to care for the characters but that is going to be very subjective. It doesn't have much to offer in the world building department. For me, who doesn't really feel invested in any of the characters here, this is closer a meh horror than a stirring psychological.
no way people actually enjoy this
