This is chapter is leaving so many unanswered questions.
Like now we know it was Anubis who turned Mimi into Rocky all because he saw a vision of the destruction of the Empire while Mimi was in charge. But the vision he saw was one where Zhang Li never traveled back in time. He doesn’t know who Zhang Li is, he thought Zhang Li was Mimi’s little lover who was a foreigner. He wasn’t aware that Zhang Li is from the future until he saw what the modem world looks like during their judgement trial.
If the Rocky that Zhang Li met was from the timeline when he didn’t travel back, it doesn’t explain how Rocky instantly recognised him.
Unless the Rocky was from the timeline (the current timeline) that Zhang Li was sent to the past, but had somehow got sent back to the future, leaving Anubis to take control. Would that mean that history will repeat itself. Mimi will still turn into stone.
It’s obvious that even Anubis there as the king, the empire will fall to destruction. It’s only because of Zhang Li that the empire has a chance to survive the destruction.
Ik it. Ik that Anubis had something to do with Mimi being turned into Rocky. But the question is was Zhang Li also there since Rocky recognised him when he came to life. Unless Mimi saw a vision and saw Zhang Li. At least now we got the answer to how Mimi was turned to stone.
