if you really really ask me , im still of the opinion that at the very core of it , the story was always about jae coming to terms with how human hearts as well as life works.
so idk if its gonna be him trying to convince the leaders of underworld for nok's life or something. and even if nok has no objection with living in the underworld , did we ever get to figure out about why jaeshin's mother leave? wasn't it because of the natural order of things?

Damn! I knew it wasn't a good idea to postpone my reading until bed time :,((( We all saw it coming indeed but the panels of Nok's beautiful face bleeding and slowly dying will haunt me for few days still. I am a big drama petty gal and I always enjoy seeing the tough lover breaking out by pain an sorrow. I am grateful the author gave us a panel of Jaeshin crying. Tbh I couldn't imagine a more beautifully tragic and consistent end of a season! The old man getting the best revenge possible, Nok in the verge of dying (will Jaeshin be able to save him form death next season??) and of course, Jaeshin in distress facing the ultimate consequences of his selfish behavior. I cannot wait for next season! We may have some great chapters of Nok & Jaeshin hanging out in the afterworld! I hope Nok will somehow return to his mortal world and become a king. I would prefer such a plot over a reincarnation one. Never been disappointed by the author so far so I'm gonna trust the process either way :)))

Yeah, Nok looks really dead - I'm not sure if Jaeshin can do anything at this point: like drag him somewhere to exchange some of his life for Nok's. Living in the underworld would be nice though. I just can't figure out what would they be doing there (aside from the obviousness;)). I'd love to have 30+ more episodes, but as I wrote a week ago or smth their last part together could be Jaeshin learning to let go his loved one for their good. And at the same time "natural order" will be kept.
Nok had pretty awful life, being haunted by ghosts for the most of it, as well being raped by them, lost his mother, blaming himself for it for years, his only friend turned his back, almost died by assassination and wicked ghost, and finally got killed by a stranger. He deserves to reincarnate and lead a happy life for once ;_; or break from the cruel living cycle and become a deity!
And most of it was caused by Jaeshin... The old guy with a third eye really was right.

I agree, one of the main points is Jaeshin coming to terms with his human side as well as with humans in general. (dunno what now, when a human had killed 'his human' ╮(￣▽￣)╭ )
We got many satisfying small breaking points (most of them if not all were on my list "I want to see Jaeshin..."): blushing, aroused (but not from one-side mechanical intercourses), deadly, protecting, scared, panicked, crying (high-five Deedee!). So in his way to maturity only "you can leave me for your own good" lies ahead. There's even the first step to that when he realised Nok's point, and stopped thinking only from his own. The scene right after saving Nok from the tormented child ghost.

I strongly believe we should remember the earrings Nok bought for him. Although they don't possess any power as the ones Jaeshin gave him, I feel they'll be used in the story.

Nice Daisy! I haven't noticed bc many Jaeshin's earrings have tassels. Btw don't you think this art was drawn some time ago?
Ooooh and it's kinda similar to the postcard and a card which were added to the printed copy of vol.1 (*happy owner here*) and I can see the same earring as in this new art C.R Jade posted. But I deem the shared one is older. What do you think?

1. the physical copy . yes! omg Vae im so happy for you. ive been wishing that i can buy one for myself as well. (maybe better the eng ver if it ever get licenced ) but ik getting it shipped would cost me more than the book itself so pretty much a lost cause.

2. the recent art , if i got it correctly is from Thailand book fair. and if im remembering even an ounce of it correctly , it must have been between late dec or the first quarter of 2025 cause I've come across the promos online time to time. so def not new.

marinating the last chapters sounds good. ive been thinking of doing the same lmao. im not a big binge reader but some stories are just that good ( flashbacks to when I picked up tgn :") )

now this may not be a really popular opinion but imma second Vae on this . one of the biggest sacrificial thing you can do in my books is letting the one you love go , if thats what seems to be better for them. ( only applies to fictional setting please) . holding on to them is good and all , but if they're suffering or have done so gravely in the past , letting them go has be the biggest act of love you can commit XP ( idk if its the angst lover in me talking )
so yeah Nok does deserves a second chance for a peaceful life. (but then what about us wanting to see king nok </3 cause if do take that route, wishing he gets reincarnated as a royalty again would be too much of a coincidence. or maybe he had just accumulated that much good karma lmao )

its been hardly a day , idk how we're supposed to wait months until they even announce the cb dates.
also one more thing , did jaeshin extend the old Man's life or straight up made him immortal. cause idk what would come of him. if its just an extention by a certain number of years, maybe his actions could result in his own downfall ( i mean who would sit by watching their crown prince / future king murdered ) thats straight up an execution

Daisy, from what I remember, Jaeshin only extended the old man's life by few years. He basically gave him the remaining living years of his son to him. How cruel xD

And I agree with both of you, the red earrings will have a symbolic impact next season for sure. That's basically the only remaining thing from Nok to Jaeshin. If I follow the sad theory (Nok dying), I suppose we would see Jaeshin holding into those earrings for the whole time they will be apart :,(( In that case, I would guess just like for Jaeshin's mother, Nok won't remain too long in the afterworld and he would reincarnate straight away. Isn't what's supposed to happen to good karma people?

We may have Jaeshin longing for Nok until they reunite again in a new mortal world and the red earrings could be the reason Nok gets attracted to Jaeshin or something in those lines, idk xD If Nok doesn't die but is badly injured, I would guess Jaeshin will do the impossible to save him but in both scenarios, I still struggle to guess what or who would be the main villain next season?! Someone from the afterworld who hates Jaeshin? A new crazy person from the mortal world?!? One thing is certain, the plot will be out of our comfort zone. So many things will be different!

Yep I'm so happy to have it (that's why I'm boastingXD) but it's true, I had to pay 3x book value just for the shipping X_X And you know what? The colours are darker and on the panel when Yeom tried to swallow Geumdong on their first encounter, it's so dark inside her mouth the ghosts are barely visible. That's rather disappointing.
On a Chinese but for foreign buyers site (I bet you know it;)) it's price is 2x of what I've paid with everything O____O And the author's most probably won't get anything from it...

2. I was guessing it's even older;) Like one of C.R Jade drew for fun or when she was sketching Jaeshin. Later when she was preparing the book she took the idea and drew bigger art for a cover and postcard. But I'll never know :D

I'm def binge reader/watcher etc. :D I've started reading TGN just after s1 had ended, and it was an intense night ;) Actually I hate having to wait cause my interest dicreases ( though not with this title) as well as anticipation - 'cause it's just not possible to keep oneself on such high level for a long time. I remember how exhausted I was waiting for 7-8h for scans of the last chapter of s2 - if there was an available payment method I would've bought it 10 times already XD

I really doubt we'll see the king Nok :( be it in the human world or in the underworld.
However if Nok would go through reincarnation what options would Jaeshin have? Coming back to fucking humans for yin energy? Naah. Starving? Smth like divide and become a human? Maybe after rereading more ideas will come :)

Jaeshin didn't extent the old man's life. He switched his date of death with his son's. Which caused shortening the son's life and expanding the old man's. Surely he won't live long now.

Hm the main struggle, good question. "How to stay together" could only be a part of it. A new villain? No idea at the moment. Just "world", as the world is our biggest enemy XD

ive had my fair share of binge reading.. I think i remember coming across TGN during s2 , started it and got overwhelmed because you know and I could never continue. it was only after s3 was announced, that i knew i had to lock in and which i did lmao !! cookie points cause s2 finale was one of the best ones ive ever read. still go there from time to time. however I really do enjoy the serialization cause it gives me time to enjoy those theories and even discuss with my friends lmao..


we should get a special right!? looking forward to what more shockers (in a good way) the creators would give us. and yes you both , let's try to look out for whatever news of s4 we get in the coming months T^T honestly asking tho, is there hope for them to return by year end atleast!?

PS : i successfully roped in one of my friends to read night song and she's already so smitten by the art . she's like a really crazy binge reader but since she's got her exams around month end , so she promised me she'll catch up soon after
