I don't think it's paid, the website makes money definitely, but not necessarily the uploaders here.
It's probably like sharing your hobby with like minded people..

Translators are usually doing it as a hobby, "I like this story and saw there was no translation so I did it" is what a lot of them say.
Couldn't tell you abt how teams work tho
And the fight abt uploads is partially bc of principle but sometimes can also be bc of quality. You will see very well known translators complaining bc people would make half ass ones and post them here bc "XYZ was talking too long to do it"
They prolly fight bcs imagine I'm doing a work and spending my precious time on it and when I go to upload the chapter there's some mf who has uploaded it "which means I wasted my efforts" so it is really frustrating. Plus sometimes the other uploads are literally trash and u can't upload ch30 now cuz chapter 30 is already there.
Im not sure of this .. but sometimes i see , translation team who ask for donations ( like if the readers want to donate) and i think those moneys are used to buy the chapter theyre going to translate . So maybe thats why they fight . Either cus 1- readers wont donate anymore if they found other translator work to read and donate the them instead

What do y'all get by translating and uploading chapter? Is it paid? Free labor? Or something? Because I see a lot of translator and uploader sometimes fight each other on who will upload. That's all thanks in advance to those who will answer (づ￣ ³￣)づ
