I always caught something was off with the romance aspect of this story. Cause at first it really seemed like maybe, just maybe, the king and saintess like Nina as a child, kind of like an adopted daughter. That they appreciated her coming into their space and turning things around. But as the story progressed even after they introduced the prince, I knew something was off. And when Nina confirms her feelings for the king and the king’s interest seemed like paternal-like I knew it was fucking over. GOD WHYY WHY do they add age appropriate 2nd leads only to decide to go the opposite direction? If I had a nickel for every time this happened I’d have too many. Fuck I’m always ok with an age gap BUT NOT IF U MET THEM WHEN THEY WERE A CHILD? it’s like thinly vailed grooming (if Nina wasn’t mentally someone else) but even then Nina still has less of a position of power - she’s someone who could be cornered by someone like the King and even the prince if he so chose - which is why it’s clinical to me that this was the route they went with. Like someone needs to give the authors a fucking NEWSFLASH: just becuz a person transmigrations or goes back in time doesn’t make them fair game for romance with adults. It’s fucking weird homie.
Aside from that the story aspect was ok, but even then the ending was lackluster. All that buildup for naught.
