I mean come on, ofc he'd be that way. He's so severely insecure that he thinks there's no way anyone would not only like him back but even think he's cute. He's able to smile so easily with alcohol, the one thing everyone in his family told him to stay away from, yet he struggles to even show emotion in his day to day life. He can't even show that he's upset unless he's crying. Of COURSE his drunk self is like a stranger to him, I mean is it pretty much himself if he wasn't so anxious? Yes. But his true self is a bundle of anxiety that struggles to live a normal life. He cries trying to smile normally just so he can become friends with the guy he has a crush on, the one who confessed to him but only because of a drunken mishap. I feel for him, I truly do.
