It's easy to stand back and judge when you've never been betrayed by the person you've been with and devoted yourself to for a lifetime. She's obviously used to being very frugal. She didn't spend money on herself because she ensured Mincheol was taken care of. And he, like most men, didn't appreciate her sacrifice in the least. After everything she's been through, of course she's having difficulty not only trusting someone else, but even seeing them as object of affection. She's making progress though.
