At least in the novel, I feel they are not really treated as a second couple. They just show one or two scenes of Asmil and Asdion together to set why Asdion feels jealous of Sol and give some "motives" for some bad things he does to our baby in the future.
I know I’m probably the only one but I couldn’t care less for the second couple, take me back to peep and karhan
