Maybe since he was "manufactured", he doesn't know what real love is, and judging by how his parents' relationship works, it kinda explains why he doesn't understand what love is. He thinks he could keep Helm safe by just.. idk, destroying weak things that could get Helm in danger. Unlike Helm, we know how much of a loverboy he is and blue too, since those two weren't manufactured
