I am going to say it: I am so. Fucking. Tired. I don't know why authors nowadays think we all want to see rape scenes everywhere. It's so fucking common in BL and Straight/BG comics, it's just tiring at this point.
If the only way you know how to progress your story is by having the MC get raped: you've hit a low point. Rape/SA is such a cheap way to add shock value if it's done like this, like just to add it for the sake of it, instead of treating the topic with the seriousness and with the thoughtfulness it needs.
They could've made the same outcome happen in so many ways but chose this one.
And I'm just so done with it. Useless rape scenes for the sake of shock value make me want to drop comics so often.
