I’ve been absolutely in love with this series since the first time I read it. Historical stories with a twist of romance are my favorite, and this one is an absolute gem. Maomao’s character is strong-willed, a little unhinged, and endlessly entertaining. Her unique personality meshes perfectly with the rest of the manga’s cast. the romance takes a backseat to the main plot, but I love that it does and the romantic moments are just as lovable and hilarious. UGHH SO GOOD
although every time i see a light novel spoiler i shit my pants (￣∇￣") their relationship was never the absolute healthiest but it sounds like they’ve gone to the dark side recently LMAOO. but tbh when you put two masochists together that’s what you’d expect to happen.
