No. The tl is just shitty. KOR and JPN stories get this all the time bc they use less pronouns and not every sentence needs to have a subject like English since they can be understood from context. So, less fluent translators/machine tl will get pronouns mixed up all the time.

Wasn't Arwen a woman? Like even looking at their chest, also I vaguely remember someone referring to them as "she" or are they a trans-man ??? Am I going insane?
