Hmm so ch23 is the last r*pe scene and ml starts actually repenting ch34 and after that it's way better but you do miss a bit of the story in the process. There's two chs of r*pe the other is in the chs 3-4. You could skip them both and get the plot fine tho
Honestly I avoid that too but the repentance arc in this is actually worth it.

Sorry it's a bit lengthy idk how detailed to make it but did my best to include all the stuff I thought was important

But basically Mc was righthand man in a mafia/gang where only a few people have ever seen the boss. MC was stabbed by an underling who was a spy on orders from a rival and left in an alley where he was found by ml (police inspector) and saved but arrested b/c he was mafia. Once he's let out he works at this flower shop instead of going back but since he never gave up information on the gang or the boss the ml comes to harass him and r*pes him brutally right in the shop as a powerplay. After that he keeps going back trying to get information out of Mc and Mc refuses. One of the old members who worked under him gets attacked by that rival and so Mc goes to confront the rivals and basically tells him to keep his hands off his people but ml thinks he abandoned him and went back to his old life so when Mc comes back he r*pes him again and stabs a piece glass in his hand. Afterwards he feels a little guilty so he cleans it up. Basically just comes and goes for a few chapters on the premise of prying information.
Then the rival kidnaps the lady who led mc to working at the flower shop as bait so he goes and gets attacked and beat up and ML freaks out seeing him almost dead and kills the underling who stabbed him and now almost killed him. Thinking Mc is dead ML regrets and smashes his own hand with his gun and sobs and has a breakdown because he finally realizes his feelings
Then he finds Mc is alive and after that his groveling/redemption arc starts
