You can think of aromanticism and asexuality like a spectrum. For some it's less frequent, for some the feelings are less strong. For some - yep, nothing at all forever and ever.
As an aroace I really identify with yeowoon thoughts and confusion about love. I do not have those feelings normally at all, but I will say that the more I live the more I realize there are people out there who seem to be the exception. It made me be even more sure I am aroace because as I said - I don't get those feelings at all most of the time. ヾ(☆▽☆)
Aroace is not a spectrum, it's literally no romance or sexual attraction.
If you feel any, you're not aroace. ALLOsexuality is a spectrum, asexuality is not - it is without attraction. There is no degree of lacking attraction, there is a degree OF attraction - aka allosexualities.
Yeowoon is confirmed heterosexual earlier in the story, as is Jigu. Go and read it.

According to what I read online I always understood it as a spectrum of it's own, I see online that it's mostly defined as low or lack of attraction as you said.
Taken from wikipedia - 'Aromanticism is defined as "having little or no romantic feeling towards others: experiencing little or no romantic desire or attraction"'
So there is first of all in the definition itself "low".
I also see on Wikipedia a section about the aromantic spectrum which I feel like truly resonates with me and many more people.
Also it seems that this idea of aromanticism is pretty accepted in the aromantic community (based on my experience from the subreddit, people are awesome there!!l
