i agree with both of yall. i feel like readers have a right to complain if they don’t like the story and decide to drop it. most bl (unfortunately) contain rape. it’s up to the reader if they decide to continue reading. if they do, that’s fine. if they don’t, that’s also fine.

Right. Just ignore if someone complains, it’s not a big deal to be hostile over. Yeah it can be annoying to see same complaints but you can’t control them.
It’s a normal reaction to seeing rape too. I don’t like rape scenes but I continue to read it because I know rape isn’t the storyline if that makes sense, so obviously I won’t leave.
