i feel bad for the characters here but i like and respect shougo the way he tries his best to "ask" mitsuru for affection bc he knows mitsuru cant express himself freely like that, he makes it so that HE is the one "asking" and mitsuru is the one providing/accommodating his "whims", when it's him doing his best to make mitsuru feel good being affectionate with him, like he's actively carving a space for mitsuru to feel needed and appreciated idk why that is what made me cry shougo you deserve the world
