I doubt it's a misunderstanding. I think Yuta has been broken crazy and maybe he has some love for our dark eyes. But the way he expresses it is fucked up still given that he is infact gone crazy.

giving how yuta was reminiscing their kiss from back then while having gritty sad look and almost crying while being roughed up by him means that old kiss was soft and tender and that short time of intemacy they shared briefly was probably the first time anyone has ever been gentel with him ...i bet this is all just a misunderstading from yuta's side
