I don’t remember all the details BUT she voluntarily became an evil spirit to get revenge for herself and her family.
So the evil queen had been evil and weird since her childhood and out of concern her father called in the shaman woman who obv knew at a glance that things weren't right n told her father that the girl had spirit eyes. Evil queen then proceeds to wipe out shaman woman's entire family kids m all while sparing only her life just for fun. Shaman woman then wanders everywhere in search for a way to get her revenge and comes across a monk who helps her turn herself into a powerful vengeful spirit or mahyoon by burying herself alive + some more painful procedures. So her exorcising queen fulfilled her revenge n now she can hopefully move on
