Now that's a family, for sure.
But I like how the author noted that if it weren't for the ban on education, the girl and the blond would have been the closest. Two sociopaths with obsessive ideas, ugh.

I feel very sorry for the younger brother, he is very sincerely attached and loves his eccentric sister. Also quite obsessive, but quite uh... pure? And not in the Faulkner style.

    Nah he is just as twisted, only reason he’s not marrying her like the second older brother is because husband and wife can become strangers so he rather have her as family. He doesn’t even want her to be with anyone else
