this is used to be fluff and cute okay but i will admit it this stuff actually almost problematic

a high scholer run away from home, choosing to live with a man who help her and doesn't see her like a creep - this much still okay barely
the man apparently her fan - the premise of the story so can't be erased

but the little tidbits such as: the ex who lied to her parents they're still going out and she didn't get her repercussions (somehow they still talked), the strict dad who somehow allowed her daughter to live with a male stranger (do you really care about your daughter??), the friend who only gives advice for his own benefits instead of seriously worrying about her, and then this fanatic fan who stalk them and i am worried this guy not going to get his repercussions too

what i mean is the characters' actions aren't the best and seem like author don't know what to do with them and just want to advance the romance plot thus... i just realized these people are either rivals or hindrance to their romance, literally plot devices that aren't polished well and their vibe make me uncomfortable and the resolution to each problem are not the best

It's a culture for you if I saw one. The issue lies in the Japanese culture clashing with yours

what i mean this is the kind of story where it focuses on romance and every side characters are just obstacles to the couple, and basically plot devices. i just thought it's going to be a fluffy healing story. well maybe it has been a while since i read an average japanese romcom. it's kinda disappointing since recently i read other genres.

i know these behavior and obstacles are usual things in manga, but all of them at once?? anyway it's just not what I expected in the beginning.
