140 chapters condensed into 32 , holy cow. On one hand, the novel did feel like it was dragging its feet, but on the other hand these chapters are going so fast there’s hardly any development? Or I’m wondering if the artist was lazy…
Sort of spoilers - the timing is past but I just wanted to talk about the moments they decided to cut out from the novel.
They did her oldest sister so dirty by cutting out her involvement The oldest brother, Hwi, knew about the poisoning since they planned it, but I’m 80% sure that he didn’t know about his twin sister’s plans behind the scenes.
I’m really salty about that they cut out the bonding moments with her sister and how Heeran found out her sister was in dangerous situations and tries to get her to promise to stop getting hurt.
As for Gangwoo, I’m sad there’s no introduction or face reveal for his bodyguard or how the treehouse incident was illustrated. Her siblings showed love and concern all the time, but I guess they were saving up the emotional impact for her birthday.
For her first birthday, they skipped the Grab ceremony (where they put objects in front of her for a hint of what her career path would look like). Spoiler that her siblings wanted her to pick a specific object/path that one of them could be a mentor to guide her, but she’s a smart and ambitious baby so she picked up everything, making all her siblings happy and excited to start teaching her.
And after they gifted her a new place, she shows her love by gifting her siblings back with valuables that she ripped off from the people trying to apologize to her.
They cut out the pet shenanigans- the time she spent taming the snake and the mischief of the weasel. Other series love showing off the bonds with their pets, so I feel scammed.
I’m happy that there’s finally a manhua for this series, but a little disappointed on how it came out.
