It did trigger previously; he was the only one (not of royal blood) able to go into that forest without getting lost. Everyone else would just see an endles mist if they weren't touching the king, but Abel was able to go in and out as he pleased, regardless of how (physically) close or distant he was from Karas.
If we're talking his hair and eye color, as well as fate, it might be something along the lines of "he was fated to die and then reincarnate"– so since the reincarnated him is the one that'll really stick, he's the one that gets the blond hair and green eyes.
*Or,* the hair and eye color thing is just complete bullshit, and his current body is just like that out of a coincidence meant to drive the plot forward. I'm still not sold on the hair and eye color thing having any real meaning, tbh, so if I had to pick a reason it'd be this.

Same, The hair and eye color still messes with my brain but you do make a great and solid point!
I guess the only info that’s throwing me off is that that one dude that said like “Since the curse wasn’t able to activate, that means the king’s true regas hasn’t appeared” so like does the curse activate on both appearance and soul? If Abel not true regas why he able to enter forest? But I’m guessing that’s what the antagonists are confused about as well Another info that’s fcking me up is from what they’re hinting, current Abel has some resemblance to the king’s orginal regas…..if that’s so then what about the prev owner of the body did the soul system fcked up or
but anyways I’m just probably dumb and the answer is somewhere, we’ll just have to see in the future chapters
GURL if Abel was the true regas, why didn’t it trigger in his previous body??? Is it because the king (karas) wasn’t king yet? Or like his eyes hasn’t change??? Is it the body? Is it the soul?? But if fated why Past Abel not blonde and green eyes???? ヽ(`Д´)ノ
