There's a little check box when you upload a chapter that says "Will send notification to subscriber
(!!! Only send notification when this upload including official update)"
An uploaders can uncheck that box so it doesn't notify readers and I wish more uploaders realized/utilized the tools built into the upload system

I wish mangago could distinguish notifications from new releases, placeholders and re-uploads
