I really don't think it's fair to call sakura trans. Isn't the whole goal for us to be breaking gender roles? It isn't okay to call him trans just because he likes cute things or wants to be treated like a princess. We need to be accepting people for their likes and preferences regardless of if they are a man or a woman. Reducing things down to "this person is a woman bc they like girly things and this person is a man bc they like manly things" is very limiting to everyone. But then people turn on their heads and say "but this person born as a man is a woman bc they like girly things" and everyone is just okay with it bc they are calling the person trans? It's still so damaging. You're foisting gender roles onto someone and making it more difficult for people to truly express themselves. And I know that sakura's experiences match some trans women's journeys, and I respect that, but it's still not okay to deem him trans just bc he's girly. Also, to be clear, I'm an ally. But I'm also a cisgender straight man who has been called trans because I like to paint my nails and have long hair, and I'm tired of it. Anywho. Very sweet manga. Nothing special but just very cute and simple. Always a nice reread.

And also, screw off with your "but yousuke called him a girl several times!" You know that's damn well old out of date japanese thoughts + language towards gay people. Author literally calls him a man at the end. Have your headcanons but calling him "she" is so so terrible. Straight up misgendering. I can't with y'all.
