It's f-up, but I think that's the theme of this series. The way you love somebody is messed up/ toxic.
Why rain blame erwar about what happen to him? when erwar even defended him when the duke bullied him? What mistake erwar did was saving him from bullying without knowing what the duke's capability.
Also, i think we're having some side story for the duke and rain here since the demon permitted him to do the revenge hahaha i can't wait to see the duke suffer ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ
