I own the official novels (have also read the CN ver), there definitely isn't ANY smut. The kisses are just changed to hugs and and the extra that implies they did the deed is removed. Pornagraphic content is illegal to distribute in China and the govt just LOVES to come after the BL authors so most don't even bother to write smut as they could go to jail for it. You may be confusing it with something else
Is one of the extras removed the one where MC ate some kind of strange plant and ML had to carry him into the bedroom? I think that's what I remembered from 2 years ago when I read it.
