I heard that the main story and canon ended chapter 16, all the side stories are basically AU and because author was told by readers to continue. But author doesn’t consider side stories as canon(?). Pieces of shit MLs in other stories get a happy ending, Luan can as well after groveling.
I kinda understand why Luan is holding onto the past. I’m pretty damn sure that Clauden was the first to lift his spirits while his family pressured him at a young age where he should’ve been having fun.
He found fun and happiness through the ‘boy’ that he spent time with almost every day, but not ‘Clauden’. Things have changed and Luan is still holding onto the past because he had yet to know who the ‘boy’ was.
I think this would’ve been a perfect story if the author emphasizes the groveling, the communication, and giving Luan character development instead of furthering with the whole ‘I order you to do—‘, but it makes sense because nobles tend to do this.
Honestly, I feel like this wouldn’t have happened if Hedric had told Luan about Clauden before Clauden went by himself to see Luan.
