Look, as someone who absolutely adores this author, I just couldn't finish this one :(
It's not that it wasn't wholesome, or that they couldn't have been a cute couple, but that's your student, man. The MC even thinks about his responsibility as a teacher the boy admires and how this isn't correct. I was really hoping there'd be a timeskip or something of that sort, because it was so uncomfortable to read, specially from the perspective of the teacher.
I think what got me the most was trying to sympathize with the teacher and put myself in the student's shoes somehow. And my god it only made it worse.
