When he was younger, he was a jealous brat, who took his frustrations out on his little bro. Using him as a punching bag. In spite all his big brother did to him, Regen on the other hand is more mature & forgiving. Still caring for his big brother. You can't cure inferiority complex. It would have make it worse if the dad would tell him off, because that brat would feel worse than he already is. Thinking he's on his little brother's side. Though the one thing the dad should have done, is praise the big brother, whenever he done good things.

Instead of wasting time of being frustrated with his little brother, he should just have work hard on his shortcomings and diligently work on that, as his little brother did. That grew up just fine without much interference of the dad all these years. In spite the dad not knowing how to raise kids, that little one can grow up kind & loving.

if they had the same shitty personality when they were both in their childhood how come the eldest and the regen have two completely different personalities? the duke wasn’t that much of a father to both of them and they both are look for his validation. clearly they must have had different personalities or motives for their personalities because the eldest most likely thought “the only way i can get father’s attention is by killing someone” while the regen’s mind process was most likely “i will try to get father’s attention by looking and dressing more maturely” there is CLEARLY a difference between there personalities in just this alone everything they do is their own choice the eldest decided to be absolute of a person and the duke can’t do (and doesn’t want to do) nothing about it.
