When is this going to end?

I’ve been following this for nearly five years now (I think), and to be completely honest I think it’s turned into a completely different story all together. Don’t get me wrong, OF course the narrative is gonna evolve and change, but I’m trying to say that it’s lost all the charm and thrill of the very first season. The plot to kill the king, the mysteries, the magic. I want that feeling back. I want to see the same values and themes that made the original concept so wonderful.

It just seems now that every five chapters is a smutfest. All well and good, but omg why is it getting tedious? When is anything going to be resolved properly? I also agree with that one comment talking about the art styles downgrade. Man, I’m going to re-read it.

For sure, this is definitely like a side story instead of a of part of the main story, it somehow feels.... one dimensional? Its more of a mundane day to day "life after hardship" which as you said isn't bad, but it doesn't have that og pizzazz lol. None the less, i just see season 3 as a filler season instead as part of the main story.... i hope that makes sense.

No yeah exactly, I agree. Maybe I should wait a couple hundred chapters before picking it back up lol

It's changed from what it once was to slice of life, but I think a part of that is also perhaps the author finding it hard to let go of the characters without giving each of them a proper resolution.

Ehhh I can’t say I agree. I mean I get that the tone has been a lot softer compared to how it used to be but it’s kind of a relief considering just how much it took for our protagonists to get here. They had to go through so much and now to see them finally build the kingdom they always desired and actually turn it into a better place where people feel safe and accepted is really amazing and seeing them so happy is also amazing. Plus i think the art got even prettier

Actually, I understand your points entirely !! The tone has shifted a lot, but there are some refreshing plot lines to come out of it. And you put the building their kingdom perspective perfectly. I think I was in a fit of disappointment because of the pacing. I still stand by aspects of my opinion, but I def see where you’re coming from :)
