Unlike canines, they aren’t pack animals but they do like to groom each other, they normally just like to ef off at the end of it. He’s literally saying he wants cohabitation (a thing literally no cat does lightly) and since they would be sharing one territory (tigers are more territorial), they would also share a litter box! Quite literally merging scents! Cats that don’t have a really good connection usually won’t share a litter AT ALL because the smell literally says “stay away this is mine” when they dislike each other. This is so nuanced it’s great! Also double meanings are fun!
