My rant about having nothing to read

Guys am i the only one who genuinely doesn’t like the og popular manhuas from 2022 onwards, for example who made me a princess or like the stories about soul swaps, being a villainess, or like background character that turns out to be some kind of illegitimate child or is the actual child stories?

Because for me it’s not just because of the reused stories and character tropes and designs, but the plot as well, like girl as much as i respect the author of the novels they are adapted from i genuinely question myself if they really had anything in mind when it came to actually making the plot make sense at all.

Like there are so many stories where I have to turn off my brain just to be able to read through misunderstandings that don’t reflect how the character should actually act based on how they have acted and done in the story.

It also goes the same with action adventure manhuas where they just make mc op or not even give them character development. Basically throughout the whole story they stay the same.

Anyways I just wanted to ask if anyone else agrees to the over saturation of plots and stories i have seen in recent releases of manhuas? ┗( T﹏T )┛

I actually love the tropes, but I agree that they are now WAAAAY overused. A few years ago I binged anything I could find but now I only read them when they have a particular twist compared to other similar stories (and this is both for stories with a male and female lead). My latest pleasure is to collect stories with tropes that don't usually go together (like: FL + hunters, FL + martial arts, ML + rofan... you get it). Now THOSE are fun (☆▽☆) (as long as the combinations don't also get overuded in the future)

Honestly i love them tropes too what just pisses me is they dont use what they have properly like the plot is always so predictable. But i saw this new manhua that had an interesting take on fl ending up with a commoner ml and im letting it marinate to see if its good

That too!! I love it when the male lead isn't the stereotypical cold northern duke with dark hair. It's much better when he's rather like a commoner, a mage, a knight... or when, in terms of appearance instead of status, he doesn't have the same typical appearance (especially long haired male leads, OR the almost non-existent male leads on the older/rougher side. Why are they so rare??!)
