I think it's actually funny how angry everyone is in the comments about this love story. Seokju is a mafia boss, drug lord and a thug; it's honestly a miracle that he is capable of any self reflection and realisation that he fucked up. His love is not pretty because his life isn't pretty also. Ahjin is poor naive illiterate cripple; in the real world, his fate would be being overworked, financialy exploited and an eventual miserable death on the streets or as a casualty in the ongoing gang war. This story is a sort of a dark cinderella fairy tail, where moraly ambiguous people from terrible backgrounds and horrendous life conditions fell in love. I find the story realistic enough and at the same time fairytale like enough to believe it actually could happen and that's the best compliment I can give to a yaoi manga.
