Here’s the reason I don’t want Woori (co-worker) as a his partner. They literally worked together for who knows how long and it took a hair cut for him to even notice MC. Then he starts obsessing over MC, why? Because he’s beautiful. Now I know the hair stylist is not any better and he’s “helping” MC for fun, but he’s at least helping! He’s building his confidence, helping him build a tolerance, and helping MC in his real calling becoming a sl**. All while starting to fall for MC. Woori just gets upset, only thinks of MC as handsome/cute and is using him as his gay awakening. He is no better and a lot less helpful to MC.

Idk if I’d call it helping more like taking advantage of the MC’s naivety and tbh as long as woori has genuine feelings for him which he seems to have vs the ml rn then I support him atleast trying sometimes with certain styles it makes you blend in to the background I don’t think woori felt a way ab him before just didn’t notice also most people start crushes off attraction then start friendship and so on but this is all just my opinion I thought ur pov was intriguing

I disagree, Woori does not have genuine feelings for MC he has sexual desires for him. When have you seen Woori be interested in anything outside of appearance and getting into MC’s pants? Woori’s way of going about MC is the “I’m a nice guy, so you should totally pick me” way. “I have never been interested is X, Y, Z before but for you I will try anything to get in.” And that’s kinda what a lot of 2nd MLs are they are either cowards in confessing and wait until there is a rival or “Oh I’ve never noticed how pretty you are/can look. Now that there is someone else who’s interested in you”. That’s not to say there aren’t many stories of the main couple starting that way, but ML’s aren’t usually waiting to take action after they discover this.

That is all to say that like many neither MLs are good for our MC, but I would prefer someone who is helping and gives you more honesty of why they’re into/using you than someone who is also taking advantage of you to eventually fulfill his newly found sexual desires.

And one more thing MC is not as naive as some claim he is. He knows what’s his doing and is literally letting ML take advantage of him. It is not naivety anymore it is ignorance he is choosing this.

Honestly why would he confess when he knows his relationship with his hairdresser you call it cowardice however I wouldn’t and you speak of his “newly found sexual desires” but you only find it ok because the ml is “upfront” with it yeah he says he doesn’t want to be in a relationship but he’s still TAKING advantage of the situation and the fact he knows the mc like him to do certain things like how he got jealous woori touched his hair so he took his frustration out him by trying to embarrass him by making him strip… it’s natural woori is having sexual dreams about his crush he’s an adolescent man wet dreams are common it’s funny you view it as him trying to fulfill his sexual desires but he also wants to be in a relationship so even if he was fulfilling his sexual desires in the relationship isn’t that normal since every couple has sex ? (You don’t sound aggressive at all I LOVE a good respectful debate on books (๑•ㅂ•)و✧ as I said I find your pov intriguing it’s funny how people’s everyday lives influence the they attribute things to situations and their pov)

I agree with you, I'm usually a 2nd-lead type of lover but woori just makes me feel grossed out, like there's something up with him

I agree a good respectful debate is nice, but as you mentioned about fantasizing about sex, a wet dream of someone you crush on in a small amount of time is obsession/lust it is not love. In the beginning of chapter 26 Woori repeats to himself that MC likes him (obviously not in a romantic way) and he himself says “we both like each other, isn’t that enough?” That is part of the “I’m a good/nice guy” trait where he isn’t paying attention to MC’s feelings but his own. Then there’s the recent chapters 29 and 30, where Woori is literally lusting for MC. He wants MC to take the initiative so he won’t have be the one to blame for his actions afterwards and only sees MC as cute or handsome. I agree with you in one can have sexual dreams about anybody that is of consensual age, but that does not equate to “love” and Woori is definitely seeing MC just like ML as a sexual object. He also had a daydream in chapter 27 of MC removing his clothes and ask him to touch him, when all MC wanted was to show his new tolerance. You may think this is better than actually touching with consent, until the “nice guy” act is dropped and he reveals he is just like ML but more desperate because he “was nice” he “”was patient” and MC owes him and he would tell others about his secret.

I’m not going to defend ML because he has obviously closed himself off and is only using others with their knowledge of him using them. Remember in chapter 2 or 3 MC caught ML with the celebrity and the celebrity told him not to get close or he’ll be used. Well MC ignores their advice and keeps falling towards him just like the others. They both consensually allow each other to be used by one another. MC notices the ML is helping him become more confident while allowing his sexual desires to grow more tolerant and ML as ignorant of his feelings as MC is about being used allows this trade as a form of entertainment. Woori however is just there with his one sided lust because he finds MC “very handsome” as he said in chapter 30.

He’s giving the “nice guy” vibes. Where if he treats MC nice enough and convinces MC he’s not like the other guy and he really likes him, MC will give him head.

I would agree with you, if he didn’t start sexualizing MC shortly after he noticed how physically attractive MC really is and if he stopped just thinking about how physically attractive MC is.
