I might be over thinking this but I think Mike is gay or bisexual and has internalized homophobia. All he goes on about is "she is the nasty type" whenever a girl asks him out. He always has a negative thing to say about women. It just sounds like he has no interest in women at all. He's the nasty type too so he has no right to judge people. The Dude has super high expectations or he's gay.
